愛犬のお風呂
小さな男の子がお店にやってきて大きな箱の洗濯石鹸粉を買おうとしているので、それを見た店員が少年 に洗濯物が沢山あるのかどうか聞いた。 「洗濯物じゃなくて、犬を洗うんだよ、、」 少年は答えた。 「洗濯石鹸で犬を洗ったら、強すぎるので犬は病気になっちゃうよ、ひょっとしたら死んじゃうかも知れ ないよ」 店員は注意をした。 しかし、少年はその注意をきかずに、洗濯石鹸を買って店を後にした。 約一週間後、同じ少年がお菓子を買いに再び店にやってきたので、店員はあの石鹸で犬を洗ってどうだっ たか聞いた、、 「死んじゃった、、」少年は答えた。 「だから言ったじゃないか、あの石鹸で犬を洗っては駄目だって、、」 店員は何で注意を聞かなかった のかという気持ちで言った。 「でもね、」少年は答えた、、 「石鹸で死んだんじゃないんだよ。洗濯機の回転強度が強すぎたんだと思う、、、」 07/17/01
Washing the Dog A young boy was at the grocery store picking out a pretty good size box of laundry detergent. The grocer walked over and asked the boy if he had a lot of laundry. "Oh, no laundry," the boy said. "I'm going to wash my dog." "But you shouldn't use this to wash your dog. It's very powerful and if you wash your dog in this, he'll get sick. In fact, it might even kill him." But the boy was not to be stopped. He carried the detergent to the counter, paid for it and left. About a week later the boy was back in the store to buy some candy. The grocer asked the boy how his dog was doing. "Oh, he died," the boy said. The grocer said "I told you not to use that detergent on your dog." "Well," the boy replied, "I don't think it was the detergent that killed him. I think it was the spin cycle."
